Summary:

This report summarizes the development of Occupational Value Profiles (OVPs) for new occupations introduced with O*NET-SOC 2010. This work was undertaken due to the addition of new and emerging occupations and occupations identified within the 2010 Standard Occupational Classification. The goal of the development was to use updated O*NET data to develop OVPs consisting of six work values (e.g., Achievement, Autonomy, Recognition, Relationships, Support and Working Conditions) that characterize the nature of the work and conditions of the work environment. This report provides a summary of the expert rating procedures and analyses used to produce these new ratings.
